What We Do

YESS is a registered charity that delivers emotional and mental health support to children and young people (CYP) aged 5 – 19 years old. We are based within the rural town of Uttoxeter and provide support to CYP across Uttoxeter, Burton, Cannock and Rugeley. YESS was formed in 2011 and since that time we have grown in size and developed a solid reputation as an excellent provider of evidenced based treatment for CYP.

YESS are part of a consortium with South Staffordshire and Shropshire NHS Foundation Trust (SSSFT) in the transformation of Children & Young People Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (CYP-IAPT). We work closely in collaboration with NHS CAMHS services. YESS also sit on the steering group for the THRIVE model, a replacement for the tiered approach for classifying level of risk and need amongst CYP who are experiencing mental health issues, placing us at forefront of mental health providers for CYP.

We have a highly skilled and trained staff team, and we are passionate about the work we do. Following our ethos of getting the views of those we serve, we have a dedicated Youth Participation team that work with CYP, parents and carers to ensure their views and experiences change ours and NHS CAMHS services. We apply high standards across all areas of our work, we are an approachable team and we look forward to discussing ways in which YESS can work with your school to support your students.
